On June 19th, 2019, ATO Mexico City held a seminar on Food Trends in the United States and how such food trends are adopted in Mexico. The event boasted 50 attendees plus 5 media representatives covering the event. The Food Institute Director Mr. Brian Todd kicked off the event followed by Mexican Trendhunting boutique Leonardo 1452 represented by its CEO Ms. Gaby Arriaga. Both presentations engaged the audience about the trends in Mexico and the United States. Two major findings were the uptick in e-commerce, as well as consumer rhetoric regarding healthy products but retail numbers displaying continued deference for indulgence foods as well.
